Owls Nest and Barn House:-

Nov, 2007 Came at last minute for quick break, loved cottage, only had time to visit Ross-on-Wye and Symands Yat, but loved both, especially Symonds yat. Will come again.

Sept 2007 Thank you for the apple juice - a nice thought. The cottage is well designed and very comfortable. The village and its surroundings quiet and peaceful. Altogether just what we needed!

Just a little note to say thank you for allowing us to stay in The owls Nest. It was cosy and well equipped and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. The view from the bedroom window took some beating. Thank you also for the apple juice- it was delicious.

We wanted peace and quiet and have found it here, very restful area with good local walks in the fields. We particularly liked Ross on Wye and all the Autumn colours. Also the resident blue tit that looks through the bedroom window!

Beautiful location, excellent walks and we did find the lake!!! Sculpture trail at Forest of Dean well worth a visit- lovely cafe, Raglan Castle outstanding, a must for all visitors. Monmouth good to walk around. Hope to come back again soon for longer.

What a lovely area in which to spend a holiday- there are so many and varied things to do. The cottage is so well equipped - The downstairs lavatory is a great boon! Everyone loved the ride on the Forest of Dean railway and we heartily recommend the Royal Arms at Llangrove for a fine meal! Beautiful countryside, well equipped cottage. We really enjoyed the Kingfisher cruise from Symonds Yat East  along the river.

Good relaxing holiday with plenty of good local food. Unfortunately we had to leave a day earlier than planned:- never the less a most relaxing break, thanks.

The cottage is lovely. It is obvious a lot of thought and care has gone into it, we would love to come back, thank you.

July/August 2005. A wonderful holiday. The cottage was very nice and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday- although we travelled many miles during our visit. The setting and scenery were beautiful. Your cottage is one of the nicest we have stayed in, thank you. Would recommend:- the Bird of Prey centre at Newent. A visit to Symonds Yat to have a wonderful view of the river Wye and see the Peregrine falcons. A canoe trip down the river Wye- stopping off for a pub lunch on the way down stream. A visit to the black and white villages, Pembridge Church unique and worth seeing. A trip to the Black Mountains. A trip to the Forest of Dean. You cant fail to have a lovely holiday here. look forward to returning very soon, thanks, Angela.
