Accommodation   The Barn House and Owls Nest self catering cottages are two identical stone built holiday cottages. They are up a private drive, a short distance away from The Wagoners cottage and The Granary.  The cottages are identical having 3 bedrooms in each. One double bedded room, one twin room and one single room with an extra fold-out bed. Sleeping from 2-6 persons in each cottage. New bathrooms for 2006 with toilet, washbasin, bath and overhead power shower. The cottages also have the added convenience of an extra toilet and washbasin downstairs.  New kitchens in 2004, carpeted, comfortable sitting rooms with colour televisions, DVD players and radio/CD players, plus separate dining rooms with  laminate flooring.

The holiday cottages have gas central heating, fridges, electric cookers, washing machines, microwaves, irons and ironing boards. Garden furniture and barbecues supplied. Both cottages have separate gardens with plenty of room to sit / play or have a barbecue. There is ample parking. Cot and high chair may be available, please ask. Pets are allowed by prior arrangement in Owls Nest and Barn House only and are not permitted upstairs.

Local Area    Visitors will find details in each of the 4 holiday cottages outlining the area. Guests can enjoy walks either around the fields or along the peaceful country lanes. Read visitors comments to see what previous guests have said over the years. There are sample menus in both self catering cottages from ten local pub/restaurants.  There are sample menus in each property from ten local pub/restaurants, also info in the kitchens to help you find locally produced foods, farm shops and farmers markets.  There is plenty of tourist information on hand in each cottage and directions to local supermarkets and tourist information centers. Also if staying for a week or more a complimentary bottle of locally produced apple juice.              There is a Waitrose and new M&S  food store in Monmouth and Morrisons and Somerfield in  Ross-on-Wye.  Locally produced food is available from Pengethley Nurseries Farm Shop approx 3 miles. Cycle hire is available in the village from 'PedalAway' who also operate from the Forest of Dean. Booking:- 

Rates include all central heating and electricity. Bed linen and towels are not included in the price but can be hired at £6.00 p. p. for bed linen and £4.00 p. p. for towels, this must be booked at least 6 weeks beforehand, when paying the balance of monies. (If you decide to bring your own linen you will need a bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillow cases, no sleeping bags permitted).

Weekly bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless special arrangements have been made. Guests may arrive anytime after 3:00 pm and are asked to vacate the property by 10:00 am on the Saturday.

If you would like to book a self catering cottage in Herefordshire please telephone or email Angela first to check availability and then send a cheque for 25% of the total payment agreed in  the next post as deposit made out to Angela Farr   to secure the booking. (For your convenience there is a booking form  available for you to print off and send with your cheque). Please state the number of guests and indicate if bed linen/towels are required. All bookings will be confirmed in writing so please include your address. 

The balance of payment will then be due six weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. 

For late bookings taken less than 6 weeks before the stay the full amount will be due when the booking is made, again by cheque in the next post.
